PASTOR JAYMES ROBERT MOONEY

Pastor Jaymes Mooney is a native of Nashville, TN and currently serves as the Pastor-Elect of the Historic Saint Bartley Primitive Baptist Church in Huntsville. Al. As a pastor and preacher, Elder his passion is to serve God by lovingly leading His people into a deeper relationship with Christ. From 2013- 2017 Pastor Mooney served as the Senior Pastor of New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church which experienced significant growth both spiritually and numerically. He led the congregation to capital improvements to the church sanctuary, and created community-centered projects such as a Summer Math and Literacy Program that ministered to over a hundred students in the Fort Lauderdale Community through free tutoring and meals. In 2011, he was a contributor to the book "Just Preach, Preaching the Word of God Primitive Baptist Style", his sermon " We Faint Not" was featured in this anthology. His articles have been published in the Westside Gazette Newspaper and the Treveccan Journal. He has also been honored by the Miami Times for his congregation's outreach and community service. He was honored in January of 2017 by Congresswoman Frederica Wilson of the 24th Congressional District of the State of Florida for his leadership in outstanding community service. 

While pastoring the Progressive Primitive Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN, Pastor Mooney was elected to serve as the President of the Church School Convention of the Cumberland Association. He has also served as the President of Union #1 which represents Primitive Baptist Churches in Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade Counties.  He has also served as the Bible Expositor for the Church School Congress of East Florida Association. He also serves as a Member of the National Primitive Baptist Convention Publishing Board. He is a board member of Transformational Ministries International, a ministry based in West Palm Beach, FL that provides resources and training for churches/clergy locally and abroad. A lover of learning, Pastor Mooney is a product of the Davidson County School System and Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN.

In June of 2012, he wed the love of his life and high school sweetheart the former Victoria Cleaves, a graduate of the University of Tennessee- Chattanooga. In February of 2016, they welcomed their first daughter, Ms. Taylor Noelle Mooney.
