Audio Visual Ministry - This ministry is responsible for setup, maintenance, coordination, and use of the church’s audio, visual, and streaming used during services and for other special on-and-off site events. The ministry’s mission is to glorify God by ensuring that Worship and The Word are seen and heard clearly and without distraction within our local church and throughout the world as it is broadcasted or distributed on media with the highest video and audio quality available.

Brotherhood - The purpose of this ministry is to strengthen the church by mobilizing Christian men to become spiritually mature leaders and doers in their church, families, communities and work places.

Vacation Bible School - Each year St. Bartley Church hosts a fun filled community wide Vacation Bible School program. It is normally held the first week of June, and there are classes for all ages. 

Creative Arts Ministry - The purpose of this Ministry is to plan and present spiritually centered activities that allow an opened expression of member’s graces, gifts and talents for the primary purpose of enlightening members and evangelizing others to Christ. This happens through Easter and Christmas Productions. Another facet of the Creative Arts Ministry is through the ministry of Dance which includes “Saint Bartley Praise Dancers and Gentlemen in Motion.”

Education - This ministry focuses on providing guidance to students who wish to apply for educational Scholarships through various denominational avenues. They also are responsible for hosting various workshops forums to enhance the lives of members and the community. 

Historic - St. Bartley Primitive Baptist Church is recognized as the “Oldest African American Congregation” in the State of Alabama and the Mother Church of the National Primitive Baptist Convention, USA. This ministry will conduct investigations into the history of the Church through contact with senior citizens and research of available documents within and outside of the Church for the purpose of establishing formal documentation. 

Mothers - The Mothers’ responsibilities are to assist the Deacons in seeing to the welfare of the Members and assist the Pastor in the carrying out of the Ordinances. 

Music Ministry - The purpose of the music ministry is to lead the congregation in singing and praise to God, uplift broken spirits and prepare hearts and minds to encounter and hear the Word of God. The music ministry at St. Bartley Church is comprised of : The Praise Choir, The Womens’ Choir, The Male Chorus, The Youth Choir, skilled musicians and directors. 

New Members - This ministry’s focus is to connect with new members and walk alongside them through the process of becoming fully functioning disciples. 

Prayer - This ministry is committed to intercession on behalf of the congregation, community, and the world. They meet several times a month to participate in fervent prayer, and they also make trips to those who are sick and pray with them. 

Trustees - The Trustees are tasked with the responsibility of being good stewards of the Church’s property and resources. They are selected to meet the demands of the Civil laws where ever State laws require such to be the case. They are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Church’s property. The Pastor serves as General Chairman of the Board. 

Women of the Church - The Women’s Ministry is responsible for Christian development and fellowship for all women of St. Bartley Church. They have monthly meetings, they participate in Bible studies, they also have a variety of annual functions and community projects. 

Beautification Ministry - This ministry is composed of two groups, inside and outside. The inside group is responsible for the beautification of the following areas: foyer, hallways, dining areas, sanctuary, and special events. The outside group is responsible for maintaining St. Bartley’s grounds and facilities in a most presentable way. Outside areas include building, grounds, and parking lot. 

Church School - The purpose of the Church School is to teach congregants the Word of God through systematic Christian learning on a weekly basis. Classes are available for all ages each Sunday Morning at 8:30 a.m.

Children’s Church -  The ministry is focused on aiding children and youth in their journey to becoming disciples of Christ through lessons and activities during the Morning Worship Service. This takes place on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Sundays. On the 3rd Sunday youth lead the Morning Worship Service. 

Deacons - The purpose of the Deacons' Ministry is to serve the Lord and His Church by assisting the Pastor in meeting the spiritual and physical needs of the Church. They assist by caring for the poor, the sick, the preparation and administration of the Ordinances; service of the Communion, Washing of the Saints’ Feet, and Baptism; and in ministering to the spiritual interests of families in the Church and community. Jesus’ life is the model for the Deacon. In Mark 10:45, Jesus said, “I came not to be served, but to serve.” Deacons exist to serve God and the Church. They are also charged to see to the physical needs of the Pastor. 

Evangelistic - This ministry will function as a primary focal point of evangelism for Saint Bartley for the expressed purpose of reaching and making disciples for Christ. 

Hospitality- The Hospitality Ministry consists of adult and youth members of Saint Bartley that serve by helping to create an atmosphere of kindness and friendliness to all visitors and members. 

Membership - This ministry will seek to maintain an active relationship, fellowship, friendship and partnership with both active and inactive members. This ministry will establish means by which we can reestablish relations with members who either attend church infrequently or have discontinued. This ministry will establish the plan and program activities designed to bring all members into a closer fellowship, especially inactive members. 

Needs Ministry - The purpose of this ministry is to assist the Church in the cause of Christ to feed the hungry, and clothe the naked. The needs ministries have a variety of events throughout the year that help to meet the needs of this community. The Needs Ministry also stocks and maintains the Food StoreHouse at St. Bartley where people in the congregation and community are able to come and receive canned goods for free. 

Seniors - This ministry’s focus is to minister specifically to seniors in a way that enhances their spiritual awareness and commitment. There is a weekly Midday Bible Study held on Tuesdays mornings that primarily consists of Seniors.

Sick - The purpose of the Sick Ministry is to care and visit sick members within the congregation in conjunction with the Pastor, Deacons, Prayer Ministry, and congregation as a whole. 

Ushers - The Ushers of St. Bartley are responsible for the greeting, meeting, and seating of all members and visitors of St. Bartley during Worship Services. The Ushers’ Ministry is comprised of one Adult Ushers Board, one Senior Adult Usher Board, a Youth Usher Board, and a Male Usher Board. 

Youth Ministry - This ministry focuses on ministering to Children and Youth at their level, and helping to grow them in fully functioning disciples. This happens through workshops, sports camps, fellowships, Youth Choir, and Youth Ushers.
